Camfil Farr produces a wide range of lube oil filter housings for locomotives, marine engines and stationary power plants. For locomotives we produce lube oil housings both for new locomotives and a large range of standard housing designs to fit older locomotives.
High Capacity, High Efficiency Lube Oil Filters extend filter change intervals and engine life for lower life cycle costs.
Camfil Farr Lube Oil Filter Housings:
- Standard housings accommodate both 6.5" and 10" diameter elements ranging from 4 to 14 elements per housing with design pressures as required by the engine.
- Camfil Farr also produces the traditional 6.5" diameter single stage lube oil filter element to fit lube oil housings which were designed for this element.
The two-stage 10" diameter PuriFarr element has two concentric filtration stages through which the oil must pass sequentially before it can enter the lubrication oil and results in longer component life and fewer premature power assembly failures. The element also has an inch higher dirt-holding capacity than conventional 6.5" diameter elements which permits longer service intervals between element changes to increase locomotive availability.
