Camfil Farr is pleased to announce that company executive Jan Andersson is now chairman of Working Group 4B "Air Filters" (WG4B) within Eurovent.Jan Andersson, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Marketing for Camfil Farr in the Nordic countries, also Product Manager for the company's Comfort Air Filters in Europe, brings more than 25 years of professional experience from the air filter industry to WG4B. He has taken over the chairmanship held by Camfil Farr's former R&D director, Jan Gustavsson, who retired from Camfil Farr in 2005 but continued as chairman of WG4B until this year.
Prior to becoming new chairman of WG4B, Jan Andersson worked together with Jan Gustavsson for many years to define and establish the Eurovent Certification Programme for Air Filters, adopted in 2006. He has also been an active member of the board of Svensk Ventilation, the Swedish national partner of Eurovent.
"Eurovent's working groups and certification programme are essential for building an effective and competitive industry in Europe. As chairman of WG4B, I will continue to drive efforts to develop standards and finalize the European energy and air quality rating system. Our committee will also remain focused on implementing projects to achieve the all-important goals of increasing indoor air quality and decreasing the energy consumption of HVAC systems," comments Jan Andersson.
