Camfil Farr’s air filtration advices according to pandemic situation
The global pandemic of novel influenza A (H1N1) is probably going to change our daily life for a few months.Camfil Farr takes responsibility to support you in preventing contamination risks in your installations by providing adapted air filtration solutions.
Air filtration advices:
- According to the pandemic level and your activity risk level, you could increase proportion of fresh air compared to the proportion of recycled air in the HVAC system, to reduce potential airborne contaminant diffusion.
- In case air recycling should be maintained, make sure that returned air is filtrated through High Efficiency Particulate (HEPA) air filters or at least use the highest filter efficiency your HVAC system can cope with. A range of filters “Pandemic Barrier” is on the way to be ready.
- We would also recommend you to improve maintenance staff safety by making sure that they wear appropriate personal protective equipment when changing used filters. Used filters must being packed in plastic bags for elimination
