Camfil Farr AFNOR is a leading certification body and a member of IQNET which includes more than 250,000 certifications in their client database.
We made a commitment to ISO 14001 certification by mid 2009 at the launch of the Camfilcairing program. We also wanted to improve management of Health & Safety issues in the plant and made an early decision to include OSHAS 18001 certification in the project as well.
The factory was busy at the beginning of the year with moving into a new plant and therefore the project only commenced in mid February 2009. There has been a strong commitment among employees and therefore we could reach certification status by August 2009.
Being a member of the Camfil Farr Group, Environment and Health & Safety has always been a priority and we started the project with a solid foundation. This was also confirmed by the auditor who said “compliance is like a company 3 – 4 years into certification”. The credit for this is shared with other Camfil Farr factories and people that supply us with processes and manufacturing equipment.
The project was managed by Quality Assurance Manager Jaya Pichaimanickam and Health & Safety Officer Abdul Razak Bin Abd Rahim.
